Microwave Ablation Device

The ATPIO Microwave Ablation System is a minimally invasive tumor-treatment device that, under image guidance such as ultrasound or CT, percutaneously inserts a microwave ablation needle into tumor tissue to inactivate lesions. Operating at 2450 MHz, it offers multiple needle configurations (outer diameter 1.6/2.0 mm, length 100–200 mm) for tumors of different sites and depths. Within the microwave electromagnetic field, polar molecules in the tissue oscillate rapidly and generate frictional heat; as the temperature at the tumor center rises to 45–65°C, cancer-cell proteins denature and necrose. It is indicated for solid tumors including liver cancer, lung cancer, pulmonary nodules, breast tumors, uterine fibroids, kidney cancer, thyroid nodules, and bone tumors, and shows superior efficacy over radiofrequency ablation for larger tumors (>5 cm).Key Advantages: Rapid heating with shorter treatment time; larger ablation zone (especially >5 cm); minimally invasive and precise, with less trauma, less bleeding, and faster recovery.
