RPT™ Rolled Barrel Pipe Nipples
Product Introduction This product is a premium steel pipe nipple manufactured with RPT™ (Roll Press Threading) chipless cold-forming technology. Unlike traditional cut threading, RPT™ forms high-precision tapered pipe threads on hollow steel pipes through controlled cold plastic deformation, while preserving the original pipe wall thickness and galvanized anti-corrosion layer. It is designed for gas, water, fire protection, petrochemical and other high-reliability pipeline systems where safety, corrosion resistance and connection performance are critical. RPT™ effectively addresses long-standing problems of traditional cut threads, including corrosion, leakage, reduced wall thickness, weakened strength and shortened service life. Core Highlights 1. Chipless Cold Forming, Replacing Traditional Cut Threading RPT™ uses a non-cutting roll-forming process to create pipe threads without removing metal. Through precise radial and axial forming force, the pipe end material undergoes controlled plastic flow to form high-precision pipe threads. 2. Original Wall Thickness Preserved, Higher Joint Strength Traditional cut threading reduces the wall thickness at the thread root and weakens joint strength. RPT™ preserves the original pipe wall thickness, giving the threaded connection stronger resistance to pull-out, vibration and long-term service stress. 3. Galvanized Layer Retained, Lower Corrosion Risk Cut threading damages the galvanized layer and exposes the thread root to corrosion. RPT™ maximizes retention of the original galvanized coating, significantly reducing the risk of thread rust, corrosion and future leakage, especially in humid, rainy or coastal environments. 4. High Precision and Consistency for Reliable Sealing With digitally controlled manufacturing equipment, RPT™ ensures highly consistent thread taper, profile and dimensions. The smooth, burr-free thread surface improves assembly quality and sealing stability, while reducing on-site rework and maintenance costs. 5. Green and Low-Carbon, Enabling Lighter Pipeline Systems The RPT™ process produces no metal chips, reduces pollution and lowers material waste. By reducing the need for cutting oil, anti-corrosion repair and excessive pipe wall allowance, it supports lighter pipeline design, steel savings and lower lifecycle carbon emissions.
