Established in 1998, Fengjing Industrial Zone has a total planned area of 11.11 square kilometers and comprises two sub-districts: the North Zone and the South Zone (formerly the Fengjing Area and Xingta Area). The South Zone covers a planned area of 5.17 square kilometers, bounded by Xinggui Road-Xingfang Road to the east, Damangtang to the south, Zhuangguantang to the west, and Tingfeng Highway to the north. The North Zone has a planned area of 5.94 square kilometers, bounded by Xingxin Road to the east, Fengzhan Road to the south, Xiuzhou Pond to the west, and Shanghai-Kunming Expressway-Xiangtang Road to the north. It is a municipal-level industrial zone of Shanghai.
